Local festivals in Corbera de Llobregat

The Sant Antoni Festa Major is usually celebrated over several days around 17 January and retains its links with carters, farmers and animals. Mass, the blessing of animals, the Tres Tombs parade, sardanes and a correfoc bring the parish, folk-culture groups and residents together in the Sant Antoni centre.

Santa Magdalena and folk culture

The summer Festa Major honours Santa Maria Magdalena around 22 July. The opening address, street parade, sardanes, stalls and craft fair, and the Penya del Corb correfoc fill streets and squares. The Antoni and Magdalena giants, grallers, drummers, stick dancers and other groups represent the town's festive heritage.

Other celebrations: the living nativity

Since 1962, Amics del Pessebre de Corbera has staged a living nativity in the natural setting of Penya del Corb, combining biblical scenes with historic trades and Catalan rural life. The Sant Ponç gathering, the Flama del Canigó and Mercat del Bandoler complete a calendar linking landscape, history and community participation.
