Local festivals in Barberà del Vallès
The Festa Major is usually celebrated in early July over four days of music, popular culture and street life. Squares, streets and municipal venues host events organised by the Town Council with local associations.
Usual celebration
The opening speech, Barberapitec —Barberà’s own folk dance— and the opening thunderclap launch the festival. The Festa Major procession, correfoc, human-tower gathering, giants’ meeting and family programme in Parc del Bosc de Can Gorgs lead to the closing music-and-fireworks display.
Other celebrations
On the second Sunday in February, Els Tres Tombs brings together decorated horses and carriages, with a street parade, blessing and participation by the Associació Cultural La Cooperativa. The Aplec del Pa preserves the neighbourhood gathering by the Romanesque church and the distribution of blessed bread, accompanied by a parade, sardana dancing and children’s events.
