Local festivals in Quintanar de la Orden
The Fair and Festivals in honour of the Virgin of La Piedad are the municipality's main celebration. They usually run from 14 to 19 August, following a cultural and sporting pre-fair during the first part of the month.
Usual celebration
The opening, proclamation of the Court of Honour, festival address and parade take place on 14 August. 15 August, the day of the Virgin of La Piedad, brings the religious service, floral offering and procession. Plaza de las Palomas, Pista Jardín Colón, the promenades and fairground host caldereta meals, dancing, concerts, orchestras, competitions, theatre, exhibitions and children's activities. The Town Council, Festival Committee, brotherhoods, associations, musicians, peñas and residents sustain the programme.

The local calendar also includes San Antón, San Sebastián, Carnival, Holy Week, San Isidro, the Subida de la Virgen, Moors and Christians for San Juan, San Cristóbal, Santiago Apóstol and the Santísimo Cristo de Gracia festivities.
