Local festivals in Daimiel
The Feria y Fiestas de Daimiel honours Virgen de las Cruces and usually runs from 31 August to 5 September. The town's festival calendar also includes Carnival, Holy Week, the patron's pilgrimages and the Fiesta de la Vendimia.
Usual celebration
Over six days, the Feria combines cultural and religious events, fairground rides, competitions and music in places including Plaza de España, Teatro Ayala and the municipal auditorium. 1 September is dedicated to the patron; on the second Sunday in September, families and groups of friends join the pilgrimage to the Virgen de las Cruces sanctuary. The town council, the brotherhood, peñas and local associations organise the different activities.
Music programme for 2026
The council published the complete Daimiel en Concierto 2026 series, running from 29 August to 5 September: Orquesta Panorama, Play Star 80 & 90, Rock A, Pignoise, Casa Pepa, Dani Fernández and Los Chunguitos. This announcement covers only the Feria's music programme and is not presented here as the complete general programme for every municipal event.
Local public holidays in 2026
The Official Gazette of Castile-La Mancha lists 1 September and 4 September as Daimiel's paid, non-recoverable local public holidays. These are the two officially declared non-working days within the festival period, not all six days of the Feria.
Other events
Holy Week, recognised as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, preserves brotherhoods documented since the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Fiesta de la Vendimia, organised by FEDADA with council support, features grape-harvester contests, tastings, a parade, Pisá de la Uva and food events; San Antón, San Isidro, San Juan, San Cristóbal and San Roque are also celebrated.
