The San Pedro Fairs and Festivities close June with music, folklore, festival clubs, traditional fairs and sports activities across Plaza Mayor, La Marina, Plaza de la Catedral, Viriato and other central venues. 29 June is Saint Peter's Day and one of the city's two local public holidays.
Usual celebration
San Pedro combines giant and big-headed-figure parades, brass bands, concerts, children's activities and festival clubs with the Garlic Fair, the Popular Pottery and Ceramics Fair and the Feria de Día. The city's historic squares, the Cathedral surroundings, Avenida de las Tres Cruces and sports facilities all become part of the celebration.
