Local festivals in Morales del Vino

The Santísimo Cristo de Morales pilgrimage is the main usual celebration. The tradition brings residents and visitors to the Cristo chapel and meadow, between Morales del Vino and Zamora, for a procession, religious events and a community gathering around 9 May.

Traditions and participation

The Town Council, clubs, young people's groups, associations, residents of Morales del Vino and Pontejos, families and visitors participate. The pilgrimage, procession to the chapel and gathering on the meadow form the core of the usual tradition.

Other cultural events

The village of Pontejos celebrates Santiago around 25 July. The municipal cultural programme also includes summer activities and events organised around the library and local associations.
