Local festivals in Laguna de Duero

The patronal festival of Nuestra Señora del Villar and the celebration of San Pedro Regalado shape Laguna de Duero's festive calendar, alongside Las Águedas, Día de la Vieja and cultural events around the lake.

Usual celebration

Nuestra Señora del Villar is celebrated in September, with 8 September as the main day. The peñas take part in the opening speech and floral offering and serve traditional lemonade in their premises; the programme usually adds a procession from the chapel, dances, bull runs and other bull-related events. For 2026, the Town Council has announced a six-day festival from 4 to 9 September, keeping the patron saint's day at its centre.

Programme for 2026

The complete municipal programme for San Pedro Regalado ran from 8 to 13 May. It included a tapas route, music, bull runs and other bull-related events; on 12 May, the children's mock bull run was moved to Plaza Mayor, and the festival concluded on the 13th. The dates for Nuestra Señora del Villar have been announced, but they are not presented as a full programme until the Town Council publishes the detailed edition.

Local public holidays in 2026

The official Castile and León dataset records both Laguna de Duero entries as ‘NOT REPORTED'. No specific local non-working date is therefore attributed to 2026, and neither the patron saint's day nor San Pedro Regalado is treated as a confirmed labour holiday.

Other cultural events

Las Águedas, Día de la Vieja in mid-Lent and the Romería del Rocío are also celebrated. Artelago, the Son de Aquí folk music festival and the national floating-sculpture competition bring artists, associations, residents and visitors together at the lake and other municipal venues.
