Almazán has two deeply rooted celebrations: the Bajada de Jesús Nazareno, its patronal festival and a Regional Tourist Interest event, and San Pascual Bailón, associated with the El Zarrón tradition.
Usual celebration
The Bajada usually culminates on the first Sunday in September. Nine days earlier, the Subida takes the image from its chapel to Nuestra Señora del Campanario church; on the return journey it crosses Plaza Mayor and Puerta de la Villa among local clubs, residents, rockets, firecrackers and fireworks. San Pascual is celebrated around 17 and 18 May.
