Local festivals in La Victoria de Acentejo

The Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación patronal festivities are usually celebrated during the final weeks of August. The Encarnación church, Plaza Rodríguez Lara, Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Parque El Pinar host masses, processions, music and gatherings organised by the Festivals Department with brotherhoods, groups and residents.

Pilgrimage and Traditions Day

The pilgrimage honouring San Isidro Labrador leaves Cruz de El Tagoro with decorated carts, ox teams, parrandas and folklore groups before the offering and mass. Traditions Day, the Cena Romera and the Baile de Magos complete the ethnographic character of festivities in which La Victoria displays its heritage as a town of singers and traditional musicians.

Other celebrations: San Juan

Around 24 June, the San Juan neighbourhood usually celebrates a week of festivities beside its chapel. The residents' committee, supported by the Town Council and local businesses, maintains mass and the procession, the San Juan bonfire, a large open-air dance, cultural activities and family gatherings that have established this early-summer event.
