Valldemossa's summer programme links the celebrations of Santa Catalina Tomàs, known as La Beata, with the Mare de Déu d'Agost festivities in Sa Marina and those of Sant Bartomeu, the municipality's patron. The Charterhouse, parish church, squares and village streets form their main setting.

Usual celebration and other events

The most deeply rooted festival culminates each 28 July in honour of Santa Catalina Tomàs, who was born in Valldemossa. The relic's procession, the Beateta, the court of angels and the evening Carro Triomfal procession preserve the village's collective memory. Sant Bartomeu closes the patronal calendar on 24 August. The Town Council, cultural associations, musicians, residents and local families participate in these celebrations.
