The Festa des Vermar is usually celebrated in September, lasts several weeks and honours the grape harvest and wine culture. The opening address, selection of the Vermadores and Vermadors, trepitjadors' meal, grape-treading competition, fideos de vermar and outdoor supper involve families, wineries, associations and the Town Council in different parts of the town.
Floats and the offering of new must
The float parade carries creative and satirical groups through the streets. The celebration culminates on the Diumenge de la Festa des Vermar with the offering of new must to Santa Maria de Robines, a gesture linking local devotion with the town's wine-growing identity. The wine fair, correfocs, music and dancing broaden participation.
