Local festivals in Andratx

The Sant Pere festivities are usually celebrated at the opening of Andratx's summer patronal cycle and culminate on 29 June with a religious service in Santa Maria church. Over several days, squares and streets host sport, culture, concerts, open-air dances, folk dancing and fireworks with the involvement of the Town Council, parish, associations and residents.

El Carme and Moros i Cristians

On 16 July, Port d'Andratx honours the Mare de Déu del Carme: after mass, the image passes through the streets to the quay and boards a maritime procession accompanied by numerous decorated boats. On the first weekend in August, Sant Elm stages the battle of Moros i Cristians on the beach, with residents dressed as local country people and Moors during the Santa Catalina Tomàs festivities.

Other celebrations in the settlements

Sa Coma celebrates the Mare de Déu d'Agost around 15 August. In s'Arracó, Sant Agustí is marked on 29 August with solemn mass at Sant Crist church, and Mare de Déu de la Trapa closes the cycle on 8 September with a popular procession and ball de l'oferta. Committees, parishes and residents sustain each settlement's calendar.
