Local festivals in Alcúdia
The Sant Jaume patronal festivities are usually celebrated in July in the historic centre and culminate on the 25th. The opening speech, street processions with the Gegants d’Alcúdia, music, cultural events and community activities fill the squares and streets around Sant Jaume church.
Sant Pere and Mare de Déu de la Victòria
Port d’Alcúdia honours Sant Pere at the end of June with a celebration tied to its seafaring identity. The fishers’ guild takes part in the sardine gathering, and the image travels through the port in a procession accompanied by fishers and the Municipal Band. The Mare de Déu de la Victòria celebration then brings residents and visitors together around the chapel and its natural surroundings.
Other celebrations: Sant Crist Triennial and Fira d’Alcúdia
The Sant Crist Triennial is held every three years on 26 July with a major procession organised by Sant Jaume parish and the Town Council. The tradition was established in 1697 and recalls a devotion documented since 1507. On the first weekend in October, the Fira d’Alcúdia brings agricultural, livestock, craft, business and food displays to the historic centre.
