Festivals in Langreo
Langreo's festive calendar is spread across its different districts. Saint Peter in La Felguera and Saint James in Sama are two of the main celebrations, bringing processions, music, local clubs, competitions and activities to the valley's central public spaces.
Usual celebrations
The Saint Peter festivities occupy the end of June in La Felguera, with their main day on the 29th. The Saint James festivities arrive in Sama in July and combine mining traditions, bands, open-air dances and fireworks beside the River Nalón.

The timbering competition keeps Langreo's mining heritage alive within the Saint James cultural programme.
