Festivals in La Almunia de Doña Godina
La Almunia de Doña Godina centres much of its festive calendar on Saint Sebastian, the Virgin of Cabañas and Saint Pantaria, the town's patron saint. The celebrations combine religious events, music, local clubs and popular activities in the municipality's streets and squares.
Usual celebrations
Saint Sebastian is celebrated in January, while the pilgrimage in honour of the Virgin of Cabañas takes place in spring. The main Saint Pantaria festivities arrive in September and bring together the year's best-attended events, including the opening proclamation, giants and big-head figures, club activities, music and the traditional foot race.
Other events in the cultural programme
The giants and big-heads photography rally invites participants to document one of the most recognisable visual traditions of Saint Pantaria.
