Local festivals in Graus
Graus's patron saint festivities are usually celebrated in honour of Santo Cristo and San Vicente Ferrer from 12 to 15 September. Declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest in 1973, the four-day celebration fills Plaza Mayor and the town's streets.
Patron saint festival traditions
The dances, including sword and ribbon dances, share the programme with the welcome for the pipers, the pllega, the Albadas and the Mojiganga. The latter turns the year's current affairs into a popular satirical performance. Processions of the patron saints and the participation of dancers, rapatanes, pipers and religious brotherhoods preserve the celebration's religious and community ties.
Other celebrations
The Fiesta de la Longaniza is usually held on the final Saturday in July and is recognised as a Festival of Tourist Interest in Aragon.
