Local festivals in Santiponce

The Santiponce Fair is usually celebrated over four days, from Thursday to Sunday, around the first Sunday in October; the preceding evening marks the opening. The fairground brings together casetas run by associations and residents, rides and a horse-and-carriage promenade in a celebration organised by the Town Council as a place for community life and local gatherings.

San Isidoro del Campo pilgrimage

On the first Sunday in May, the San Isidoro del Campo pilgrimage begins with mass in the parish church dedicated to the patron saint. The pilgrims' association and residents then accompany the image towards the bank of the Guadalquivir around Gambogaz, where families and brotherhoods share prayers, sevillanas and a day of community life.

Other events: Roman culture and heritage

The cultural calendar includes historical re-enactments, visits and performances linked to the Roman city of Itálica and San Isidoro del Campo monastery. The Town Council, cultural associations, re-enactment groups and residents participate in parades, workshops and activities connecting today's festivities with the municipality's Roman and monastic past.
