Local festivals in Morón de la Frontera

The Morón Fair is usually celebrated over four days in September on Paseo de la Alameda. The illuminations, casetas, horses, sevillanas and rumbas preserve the identity of a historic fair whose origins were linked to a market and livestock trading.

Carnival and Holy Week

Carnival brings together musical groups, peñas and residents for its song festival, street parade and Tagarniná, a community gathering centred on traditional tagarnina stews. Holy Week, officially recognised as a festival of tourist interest, features nine brotherhoods whose processions run from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday through the churches and streets of the town centre.

Other celebrations: pilgrimage and patronal festivities

On the second Sunday in October, the Virgen de Gracia pilgrimage follows the route to the hermitage in the Sierra de Esparteros. On 8 December, Morón honours the Immaculate Conception with a solemn service and procession.
