Local festivals in Bormujos

The Bormujos Fair is usually celebrated during the last week of August at the fairground. The ceremonial lighting opens several days of marquees, food, music and dancing, while the closing night preserves the festive procession known as Todo el Rancho and a fireworks display.

Corpus Christi and Santo Domingo de Silos

For Corpus Christi, the Blessed Sacrament leaves Encarnación parish church accompanied by local brotherhoods and children who have made their First Communion. Santo Domingo de Silos, patron saint of Bormujos, processes beside the monstrance through streets covered with sedge and rosemary, coloured salt and sawdust carpets, and neighbourhood altars.

Other celebrations: Holy Week and the Rocío pilgrimage
