Local festivals in Marbella
Feria y Fiestas de San Bernabé combines the patronal celebration with a daytime fair, an evening fairground, popular culture and events organised by the municipal Festivals Department.
Usual celebration
The San Bernabé festivities are usually celebrated around 11 June and last several days. The daytime fair occupies Paseo de la Alameda, Avenida del Mar, Plaza del Mercado and Parque Arroyo de la Represa, while the fairground brings together rides, booths and evening concerts. The Town Council, brotherhoods, dance schools, associations, older residents and young people take part in the events.
Programme for 2026
The official programme ran the 2026 San Bernabé fair from 8 to 14 June. It began with an opening speech, crowning ceremony and fireworks at the marina; the daytime fair opened on 9 June, and the civic-religious procession and patron saint's procession took place on 11 June. The edition also included dance schools, a historical re-enactment, a youth area, sports, a quiet day, a children's water party and a closing concert on Avenida Ramón y Cajal.
Local public holidays in 2026
The BOJA resolution declares 11 June and 19 October 2026 as Marbella's local public holidays. The first coincides with San Bernabé and the second with the San Pedro Alcántara calendar, but only those dates are local non-working days; the fair lasts longer.
Other events and cultural dates
The San Bernabé programme includes a re-enactment of the entry of Ferdinand the Catholic, local dance-school events and municipal tournaments. The municipality's festival calendar also includes the San Pedro Alcántara fair, organised from the district office with associations and residents taking part.
