Local festivals in Málaga

Feria de Málaga, the feast of Nuestra Señora de la Victoria and Holy Week are three distinct landmarks in the city's festival calendar.

Usual celebration

Feria de Málaga is usually celebrated over eight days in August. It combines the daytime fair in the historic centre with the Real at Cortijo de Torres in the afternoon and evening, where booths, rides, flamenco, copla and verdiales stages, equestrian shows and children's events take place. The City Council coordinates services and events with clubs, associations, performers, hospitality businesses, residents and visitors.

For 2026, the Local Government Board set the celebration for 15 to 22 August, both dates included, with activities in the historic centre ending at 6 pm. The municipal page does not yet provide a complete programme, so no unpublished times or performers are attributed to it here.

Local public holidays in 2026

The municipal calendar and BOJA agree that Málaga's local public holidays in 2026 are 19 August, commemorating the city's incorporation into the Crown of Castile, and 8 September, the feast of Nuestra Señora de la Victoria. Only those two dates are local non-working days; the fair runs from 15 to 22 August.

Other events and cultural dates

Málaga Holy Week 2026 had a municipal guide, processional routes and a dedicated public-services operation. On 8 September, the patron saint's celebration traditionally brings together Mass, a floral offering and a procession from the cathedral to the Santuario de la Victoria, with the municipal corporation, brotherhoods and residents taking part.
