Local festivals in Valverde del Camino

The August Fair is usually celebrated for several days in the middle of the month and is the town's principal annual leisure gathering. The fairground hosts booths, music, rides, equestrian gatherings and activities around the bullring, involving the Town Council, associations, travelling fair operators, hospitality businesses, families and groups of friends.

San Pancracio pilgrimage

Over a spring weekend, pilgrims, horse riders and decorated carts leave Valverde for the Cuco countryside. The procession pauses for a community meal in Pinar del Saltillo and continues to Cuco Alto, where the San Pancracio hermitage hosts the pilgrims' mass; the brotherhood organises the route, the shared night and the exchange of medals between outgoing and incoming senior officers.

Other celebrations: Virgen del Reposo

The patron's image is usually carried in procession on the weekend nearest 12 September through streets around Nuestra Señora del Reposo parish church. It returns on 1 November to commemorate the perpetual thanksgiving vow established in 1756 after the Lisbon earthquake, a tradition sustained by the parish, brotherhoods and residents.
