The San Jorge Mártir patronal festivities are usually celebrated over the weekend nearest 23 April. Three days combine giants and big-head figures, festive lighting, local food, music and family activities with the religious service and the patron's procession from San Jorge Church through the town and around La Fontanilla.

Virgen de los Milagros and the La Rábida pilgrimage

August is dedicated to the Virgen de los Milagros. Her image is carried on 4 August from La Rábida monastery to San Jorge Church, where novenas and the patronal feast on 15 August take place. On the final weekend, brotherhoods, pilgrims, horse riders and decorated carts accompany her back along Avenida de América to the La Rábida pine woods, where community camps host singing, dancing and shared meals.

On the weekend nearest 15 March, the historic centre commemorates the return of the caravels Pinta and Niña to the port of Palos. Plaza de San Jorge, La Fontanilla and nearby streets host a market, crafts, music, dancing, games, displays and historical re-enactments with municipal, school and community participation.
