Local festivals in La Palma del Condado

The usual celebration of the Nuestra Señora del Valle Coronada patronal festivities lasts several days in August around the feast on the 15th. The Valle sanctuary, San Juan Bautista parish church, Plaza de España and town-centre streets host transfers of the image, worship, processions, music and community gatherings. The confraternity, parishes, Town Council, bands, associations and residents organise and accompany the events.

San Juan Bautista

The patron saint's festival is usually held in late August, with a principal day and preparatory events. The sacramental confraternity and San Juan Bautista parish bring together worshippers, musicians, local representatives and residents for religious celebrations and a procession through the town centre.

Other events: Royal Fair and Grape Harvest Festival

The Royal Fair usually lasts five days in the second half of September on Avenida de la Zarcilla. Its origin lies in the privilege granted by Henry III in 1398, and it now combines freely accessible marquees, local food, Condado wine, music and activities organised by the Town Council. The Grape Harvest Festival celebrates grapes, wineries and winemaking trades with the participation of producers, local organisations and visitors.
