Local festivals in Fernán-Núñez
The Santa Marina de Aguas Santas fair, honouring the town's patron, is usually celebrated from 18 to 20 July. From 13 to 17 August, the Feria Real honours the Virgen del Tránsito. The fairground, streets and squares host religious observances, music, marquees, rides and community gatherings organised by the Council, parish, associations and local groups.
Jueves Lardero and San Isidro pilgrimage
On the Thursday before Lent, Jueves Lardero takes the community gathering to La Estacada. On 15 May, the San Isidro Labrador pilgrimage centres on the Pozuelo area. Both events connect the town's celebrations with its countryside, paths and the agricultural tradition of the Campiña Sur.
Other celebrations: Holy Week and May Crosses
Holy Week is notable for its processions, brotherhoods and deep-rooted saeta singing tradition. The May Crosses and patios at the beginning of May, Corpus Christi and the San Juan open-air celebration at Monte de la Vieja complete a calendar in which brotherhoods, associations, families and residents decorate spaces, prepare routes and maintain community gatherings.
