Local festivals in Córdoba
Córdoba's festival calendar is at its busiest in spring, when Holy Week, the Crosses, the Courtyards and the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud link religious, neighbourhood and popular celebrations across the historic centre, the districts and El Arenal fairground.
Usual celebration
The Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud usually fills the final week of May and lasts about nine days. The city council organises El Arenal with brotherhoods, peñas, neighbourhood and cultural associations, companies, public bodies and volunteers. Open casetas, horses and traditional carriages, flamenco, sevillanas, fairground rides and the lighting of the entrance structure are defining features.
Other events
Batalla de las Flores, the Santo Domingo and Virgen de Linares pilgrimages, Noche Blanca del Flamenco, the International Guitar Festival, Velá de la Fuensanta and neighbourhood summer festivals complete the municipal calendar.
