Local festivals in Cabra
The Real Feria y Fiestas in honour of María Santísima de la Sierra is Cabra's major September celebration. It is traditionally held from 3 to 8 September across Parque Alcántara-Romero, Plaza de España, the fairground, central streets and other municipal venues, with religious events, casetas, music, culture, food and sport.
Usual celebration
The descent and procession of the patron, proclamation of the court of honour, opening speech, Salve Popular outside the Town Hall and fireworks all form part of the festive cycle. The Fair and Festivals Department organises the programme with brotherhoods, neighbourhood associations, cultural groups, peñas, local businesses, families and visitors.

Carnival, Holy Week, the Fiestas de la Cruz, celebrations in local districts and villages, and the Teatro El Jardinito programme complete the cultural calendar, alongside events connected with the Vía Verde de la Subbética and the Camino Mozárabe.
