Local festivals in San Roque

The Feria Real is the main August celebration in San Roque town, while the surrounding districts keep their own programme of fairs and summer festivities. The calendar brings together patronal tradition, fair marquees, music, neighbourhood gatherings and events across several parts of the town.

Usual celebration

The Feria Real is usually held around the feast of Santa María la Coronada on 15 August. Its events take place in Plaza de las Constituciones, Alameda Alfonso XI, the El Ejido fairground and the central streets. Hallmarks include the crowning of the queens and their courts, the parade, the patron's procession, Domingo Rociero and the Toro del Aguardiente, organised with the participation of the bull-running club bearing the same name.

Other events in the cultural programme

The municipality's festival cycle also reaches its districts, with events such as the San Enrique Fair and summer evening festivities, alongside Holy Week in the historic centre.
