Usual celebration

The Cádiz Carnival is usually held for more than one week in February or March, according to each year's calendar. Gran Teatro Falla, Plaza de San Antonio, Plaza de la Catedral, La Viña neighbourhood and the central streets host chirigotas, comparsas, choirs, carousel performances, the opening address, the parade and street songs.

The Town Hall organises the official calendar with Carnival groups, clubs and organisations; residents, children and visitors take part both in the theatre and in the street celebration.

Other events

Holy Week, Tosantos and the Ibero-American Theatre Festival complete the calendar with processions, decorated markets and performing arts in the historic centre.
