Local festivals in Garrucha
The usual celebration of the Virgen del Carmen festival occupies 16 July. The fishing harbour and fish market bring together seafarers, families and visitors for grilled sardines, the land procession and a maritime procession lasting about an hour. Image bearers, residents in fishing dress, fishing boats, the parish, fishermen's association and Town Council accompany the patroness before Mass in the fish market and the evening celebration.

The Town Council, associations, clubs, performers, traders and residents organise and take part in the activities.
