Gran Canaria Walking Festival

Gran Canaria Walking Festival offers four guided walks across the island's highlands, humid mid-altitude areas and rural south-east, combining heritage, scenery and local food.

Second half of October; in 2026, from 15 to 18 October.

Where it takes place

Routes cross Llanos de la Pez, Tejeda, Cruz de Tejeda, Teror, Firgas, Valleseco, Santa Lucía de Tirajana and Agüimes, with transport from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Playa del Inglés.

Events and traditions

Each day combines interpreted hiking, historic paths, volcanic landscapes and a tasting or light lunch. Transport, guides, insurance and a picnic are included.
