Barbastro Festival 2026 programme

The Nativity of Our Lady Festival holds its principal days from 4 to 8 September 2026, with preliminary events beginning on 27 August.

Thursday 27 August to Thursday 10 September

  • Morning opening: exhibition of entries in the 2026 festival poster competition, exhibition room at Casa de la Cultura.

Friday 28 August

  • 23:30: open-air dance presenting the 2026 Ferranqueras and Ferranquero de Honor, with Lo Mejor de Cada Casa and DJ Apolo White, Plaza Julieta.

Saturday 29 August

  • From 09:00: IV San Ramón 3x3 Basketball Tournament, Ángel Orús sports hall.
  • 10:00: XXVI fruit and vegetable show and tasting of Somontano produce, Plaza del Mercado.
  • 16:00: preliminary round of the guiñote card championship, Paseo del Coso.
  • 19:00: official presentation of the Damas de Honor and festival representative Aida Ribalta Bardají, Centro de Congresos.
  • 19:30: Peña 96º charity festival with late-afternoon music, Sonidos del Secano at 21:00, Desde Arriba at 23:00 and DJ Luis Domper to close, Plaza Diputación.
  • 00:00: celebration honouring the Damas with DJ Aarón Torres and DJ Serentil, La Floresta.

Sunday 30 August

  • 20:00: Aragonese Folklore Festival with Asociación Folclórica del Somontano and guest performers, Plaza Aragón.

Tuesday 1 September

  • 17:00: authorities, Damas and Fun-Band charanga visit the town's care centres.
  • 18:30-20:30, until 20 September: ‘Artistas. La magia de la creación' exhibition, Centro de Congresos exhibition room, Monday to Saturday; guided visit on the 17th at 19:30.

Wednesday 2 September

  • All day: Las Ferietas fairground rides at reduced prices, fairground.
  • 19:00: peñas, associations and organisations visit Alcampo accompanied by Gaiteros del Somontano.
  • 20:30: presentation of the Danzantes de San Ramón costume and revival of the Baile de la Mudanza de las Cintas, Plaza Aragón stage.

Thursday 3 September

  • All day: Las Ferietas fairground rides at reduced prices, fairground.
  • 18:30: ‘Mis primeras fiestas' neckerchiefs for children born and registered between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026, Plaza de la Constitución.
  • 20:30: pre-opening late-afternoon session with DJ Rialto, Plaza San Francisco.
  • 22:30: Willy and the Poor Boys, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute, Plaza Aragón.

Friday 4 September

  • 10:00: peñas, neighbourhoods, associations and the public gather in Plaza Diputación before proceeding to Plaza de la Constitución.
  • 11:30: peña and neighbourhood neckerchiefs tied and hung from the Town Hall balcony, followed by the raising of the flags.
  • 12:00: opening rocket, bells, siren and festival address, Plaza de la Constitución.
  • 12:30: opening parade from Plaza Aragón to Plaza San Francisco via Paseo del Coso, General Ricardos, Plaza Diputación and Puente de San Francisco.
  • 17:00: café-fiesta with DJ Luis Domper, Plaza Diputación junction.
  • 19:30: charangas gather in Plaza Diputación.
  • 20:00: Coso Blanco on Paseo del Coso, with floats, charangas and Magic & Circus Parade; musicians then continue through the squares and streets.
  • 22:30: ‘La Reina del Pop' tribute concert, Plaza San Francisco.
