Local festivals in L'Eliana

The main festivities are usually celebrated during the first half of July and last until the 17th. The clavariesas of the Virgen del Carmen and Cristo del Consuelo, together with the Festeras de la Purísima, help organise several days combining religious tradition, music, theatre, a funfair, communal paella meals and fireworks.

Virgen del Carmen, Cristo del Consuelo and festive fire

The central days begin on 15 July with the vespra and the transfer of the Virgen del Carmen to the senior clavario's home. The Virgen's feast is on the 16th, and Cristo del Consuelo closes the cycle on the 17th. Penya del Coet Bufat and the clavarias preserve events such as the correfoc and cordà, a local pyrotechnic tradition documented before 1912.

Other celebrations and neighbourhood festivals

La Fonda holds a weekend of communal paella meals, music, games and fireworks in mid-June; Entrepins brings residents together on the last Saturday in June, and Les Casetes celebrates over the first weekend of August with street dinners, shows and children's activities.
