Local festivals in Benaguasil

The Virgen de Montiel patronal festivities are usually celebrated from 1 to 20 September, with the main celebrations between the 7th and 10th. For nearly three weeks, Plaça Major, Avinguda de Montiel and other venues host a novena, processions, music, paella gatherings, markets, sport and fireworks, organised by the Town Council with the parish, festival committees and local groups.

Benaguasil Fallas

In March, ten Fallas committees spread monuments, parades, music and fireworks across the neighbourhoods over several days. Falleras, artists, musicians and residents sustain a highly participatory celebration combining the plantà and cremà with shared events and turning each district into a place for community culture.

Other celebrations: Holy Week

The Cristo Cautivo, Sagrado Corazón, Virgen de los Dolores and Señor Minerva brotherhoods organise services and processions from Palm Sunday to Easter. The Trencà de l'Hora in Plaça Major, the Stations of the Cross, the Holy Burial procession and the meeting of the Risen Christ bring confraternities, parishes, musicians and residents together in the town streets.
