Local festivals in Almussafes

The patronal festivities are usually celebrated in July, with the main days dedicated to Sant Bartomeu and the Santíssima Creu. Masses, a floral offering, parades, traditional dances, mascletaes and processions pass through the area around the parish church, Plaça Major, Parc Central and the streets of the town centre.

Clavaris, music and community gatherings

The Clavariesses de la Divina Pastora and Clavaris de la Divina Aurora maintain their own celebrations within the main festive period. The Festival Queen and her Court of Honour, the Confraria de la Santíssima Creu, the Fallas committees, Dansaires del Tramusser, Colla d’Al-mançáf and Societat Musical Lira Almussafense participate in a calendar combining devotion, open-air dances, sport and food-centred gatherings such as the Homenatge a la Paella.

Other events: Sant Antoni and the Fallas

In winter, the Sant Antoni Abat celebration brings together bonfires, mass, the distribution of blessed bread and the blessing of animals outside the parish church, with the involvement of Penya Els Carreters. In March, the Fallas committees complete the local calendar with monuments, music, fireworks and events shared across the neighbourhoods.
