Saint Anthony, Saint Agatha and Saint Thomas of Villanueva

Benicàssim opens its patron calendar with San Antonio Abad y Santa Águeda. Fire and gastronomy mark their traditions: lighting bonfires, blessing animals, sharing coqueta, floral offering, procession of cars and floats and dance in the square of the Agrupació Folklòrica El Cremaller. The Festival Commission, queens, festeros and festeros, clubs, local associations, the Santa Cecilia Musical Union and neighbors of several generations participate.

The San Antonio Abad and Santa Águeda festivities run for several days in January. Mass and the offering to the patron, the Día de las Peñas and the popular Día de las Paellas take place around Plaza de la Constitución, Santo Tomás de Villanueva church, the central streets and the festival grounds.

In September, the Santo Tomás de Villanueva festivities are traditionally held around their main date on the 22nd. The programme combines religious, cultural, gastronomic and bull-related events with children's and festival-club activities.
