Local festivals in Rojales
The patronal festivities of San Pedro Apóstol and the Moors and Christians are usually celebrated over several days around 29 June. The opening address, presentation of standard-bearers and sultans, ceremonial entrances and comparsa parades, music and religious observances fill Malecón del Soto and the streets of the town centre.
Comparsas and festival organisation
Moorish and Christian comparsas, brotherhoods, bands, local clubs and residents take part alongside the Town Council's Festivals Department in a celebration that combines patronal identity with pageantry. Mass and the procession dedicated to San Pedro are joined by street music, comparsa gatherings and community events.
Other events: Virgen del Rosario and San Isidro
In October, Rojales honours the Virgen del Rosario with several days of religious observances, street bands, a colourful parade and community gatherings at Malecón del Soto. In May, the San Isidro pilgrimage leads residents and visitors from the town towards the Recorral countryside for a shared day outdoors. The Fiesta de las Naciones in Ciudad Quesada adds a market, food, music and dancing to the municipal calendar.
