Local festivals in Almoradí
The fair and festivities of Santos Abdón y Senén, locally known as the Santicos de la Piedra, are usually celebrated during the second half of July. The opening speech, Bando Huertano parade and religious observances for the patron saints are accompanied by cultural, sporting and musical events.
Moros y Cristianos
Between late July and early August, the Moorish and Christian comparsas take part in parades, embassies, the Toma del Castillo and the Embajada del Barril. The celebration is recognised as a Festival of Local Tourist Interest and its calendar includes the Medio Año Festero gathering in November, around San Andrés.
Other celebrations
The local calendar includes Carnival and Holy Week, with processions organised by confraternities and brotherhoods; Corpus Christi and Perpetuo Socorro at the beginning of summer; and the Cristo de las Campanas festivities, which bring religious and popular events to the area around the chapel on the final weekend of September.
