Local festivals in Soto del Real

The Patronal Festivities are usually celebrated over several days from late July into early August. The descent of the Virgen del Rosario from the chapel to the church opens the religious cycle, while the peñas parade from El Zoco to Los Morales and take part in the opening address, music and communal meals. Plaza de la Villa, Parque del Río and the central streets host activities organised by the Town Council with peñas, associations and charities.

Virgen del Rosario

On 7 October, the community gathers again around its patron with mass and a procession from the church through the streets of Soto del Real. The celebration usually extends over several days with the traditional mus tournament, family gatherings, music and a neighbourhood meal in Parque del Río, where Cáritas contributes its charitable dimension.

Other events organised by the peñas

The Soto peñas sustain much of the town's festive identity through their opening parade, street entertainment, competitions and shared meals. Together with the Town Council and local associations, they turn Los Morales, El Zoco and Plaza de la Villa into intergenerational gathering places during the celebrations.
