Festivals in Parla

Local festivals in Parla
Parla's principal calendar centres on the June Fiestas del Agua and the September patronal festivities associated with Nuestra Señora de la Soledad.
Usual celebration and 2026 dates
Both cycles last for several days and centre on the fairground, where stalls run by community organisations and political groups encourage local participation. The municipal website set the 2026 Fiestas del Agua for 12–16 June and the patronal festivities for 11–15 September. During the latter, the shrine and image of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad retain the celebration's religious dimension alongside civic events organised by the Town Council and local associations.
Local public holidays in 2026
The Community of Madrid declares 15 June and 14 September as Parla's local non-working public holidays. Only those two dates have the paid, non-recoverable status set by the resolution, even though each festival lasts longer.
Other cultural events
The fairground stalls, community gatherings and participation by local organisations connect both festivals with civic life in Parla; the municipal cultural programme continues throughout the year at Teatro Jaime Salom and other public venues.
