Local festivals in Paracuellos de Jarama
The Pentecost patronal festivities honour Santísimo Cristo de la Salud, Virgen de la Ribera and San Nicolás de Bari. They are usually celebrated over several days in May or June and combine services and processions through the squares and streets of the town centre with music, sport and celebrations involving local peñas and residents.
A tradition documented since 1751
The brotherhood associated with Cristo de la Salud and San Nicolás de Bari was founded in 1751 and continues to take an active part in the festivities. Religious devotion and popular participation sustain a celebration that forms part of the town’s collective memory.
San Vicente Mártir and other celebrations
In January, the San Vicente Mártir festivities open the local calendar with a proclamation, cultural events, family activities and religious celebrations. Belvis de Jarama also preserves the feast of Santiago, alongside other occasions such as San Antón, San Isidro and Virgen del Carmen.
