Local festivals in Majadahonda

Majadahonda's patronal festivities honour the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios in September; Santa Catalina, the city's patron, completes the local calendar in November.

Usual celebration

The main celebration usually centres on 14 September and lasts several days. The church, Parque de Colón, central streets, sports centres and fairground host religious events, peñas, music, competitions, casetas and rides. The Town Council organises the cycle with the brotherhood, sports clubs, hospitality businesses and local associations.

Municipal information available for 2026 confirms sports events from 5 September, the Tapas Competition from 11 to 20 September and fairground rides and stalls from 15 to 20 September. These announcements define specific events but are not presented here as a complete general programme.

Local public holidays in 2026

The BOCM and the municipal agreement designate Monday 14 September, Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios, and Wednesday 25 November, Santa Catalina. These are the two paid, non-recoverable local public holidays in 2026 and are distinct from the full duration of the festivities.

Other events

Casa de la Cultura Carmen Conde and the sports venues support exhibitions, theatre, chess, tennis, padel, cycling and inclusive events during the festivities, organised by Majadahonda's clubs and community organisations.
