Local festivals in Colmenarejo
The Santiago Apóstol patronal festivities are usually celebrated over several days around 25 July. Plaza de la Constitución and the central streets host the opening speech, mass and procession, popular dances, children's games, bull-related events and gatherings organised by local clubs. The Town Council coordinates the celebrations with associations and community groups.
Virgen de la Soledad pilgrimage
On the first Sunday in September, the image leaves the church and travels in pilgrimage to the chapel, accompanied by the rosary. The floral offering, high mass and lemonade provided by the Brotherhood make the day a shared celebration for families, devotees and residents.
Other celebrations: San Isidro and livestock tradition
On 15 May, the San Isidro festival usually brings families and groups of friends together on the open ground by the chapel, with music and traditional games organised by local clubs. The summer livestock drive, promoted by the Town Council and the Colmenarejo Horse Association, follows local tracks past the Nuestra Señora de la Soledad chapel and through the town centre, keeping the municipality's links with livestock farming and rural life visible.
