Festivals in Lardero
Lardero holds its main festivities in honour of Saint Peter and Saint Martial from late June into early July. The programme fills Plaza de España, the basilica and other public spaces with religious events, music, local clubs and family activities.
Usual celebrations
The descent of the saint's image, the opening proclamation and the rocket launch begin the festivities. Saint Peter is honoured with a procession and mass on 29 June, while Saint Martial is the focus of events on the 30th. The saint's return and the symbolic Burial of the Barrel mark the closing days.
