Local festivals in Redondela

The Festa da Coca, linked to Corpus Christi, is Redondela's most distinctive celebration. The mythical Coca, Danza das Espadas, Penlas, flower carpets and procession bring together dancers, carpet makers, associations, families and visitors in the town centre.

Usual celebration

The main date is Corpus Thursday and changes each year. The central streets, Plaza del Concello, the Alameda, the church surroundings and Campo da Feira host the traditions, music, children's activities and community programme. The council organises the festival with traditional groups and residents who make the flower carpets.
