Local festivals in Sada
The patronal San Roque festivities are usually celebrated over several days in August. Dawn music and street parades, the municipal band, religious observances, open-air dances and fireworks off Praia Nova connect the town centre with the seafront and Praza Irmáns Suárez Picallo.
Sardine feast and maritime culture
On 18 August, Sada's traditional sardine feast brings residents and visitors together at the O Curruncho recreation area. Grilling and sharing sardines, performances by folk groups, music and socialising beside the sea reflect the town's fishing identity and the joint work of the Town Council, cultural organisations, hospitality businesses and volunteers.
Other celebrations: Feira Modernista
In late July or early August, the Feira Modernista transforms streets, gardens and the market area with period clothing, music, crafts, exhibitions and re-enactments inspired by the early decades of the twentieth century. Traders, associations, artists and participants recall a flourishing period linked to Sada's Modernist architecture and social life.
