Local festivals in Olivenza

Olivenza has two major celebrations: the March Bull Fair and the August Fairs and Festivals. They are joined by traditions such as La Maya, the San Isidro pilgrimage and festivities in the municipality's outlying villages.

Usual celebrations

The August Fairs and Festivals usually run for several days around the Assumption, using the fairground, Plaza de España, Paseo Hernán Cortés and other town-centre venues. The programme combines music, community activities, sport, running of the bulls and fireworks. In March, the Bull Fair brings together bullfighting and a cultural programme at the bullring and fairground.
