Local festivals in Salou

Salou's festive calendar brings together the Festa Major d'Hivern and Cós Blanc in January and February, the Nits Daurades in August and the Festa Major del 30 d'Octubre. These celebrations use streets, squares, the seafront and the area around Teatre Auditori, with the Town Council, popular-culture groups, associations, residents and visitors taking part.

Usual celebration

The Festa Major d'Hivern usually lasts several days and its most distinctive event is the Cós Blanc, with parade groups, music and confetti. In summer, the Nits Daurades combine concerts, parades, sardana dancing, fire runs, family events and the Mare de Déu procession along the coast. The municipal cultural calendar also places Sant Joan in June, the Calada de Malles and International Music Festival in July, the Festa del Rei Jaume I in September and the Festa del Calamar in November.

Other cultural events

The annual programme also includes Sant Jordi, the Fira d'Entitats, exhibitions at Torre Vella, events at Teatre Auditori and activities connected with local heritage and popular culture.
