Local festivals in Roquetes
The Roquetes Festa Major is usually celebrated over eleven days between late June and the first half of July. The proclamation of the pubilles and hereus, the offering of flowers and fruit, the Isabel and Gregori giants, grallers and concerts by La Lira Roquetense fill the streets, squares and venues under the organisation of Patronat de Festes with Town Council support.
Gran Cosso-Iris
The Gran Cosso-Iris is one of the central events and brings floats made by local colles, parades and a large confetti battle into the streets over two days. Families, associations and thousands of participants join this collective display, while decorated-street contests, dance nights and communal meals complete the festive gathering.
Other celebrations and traditions
The usual calendar includes Sant Antoni on 17 January, the civic commemoration of 14 April, the Sant Joan bonfire on 23 June and Capella del Carme on 16 July. Raval de Cristo and Raval Nova hold their own main festivals, while Tradicionàrius brings together music, customs and food from the Terres de l'Ebre over the final weekend in August.
