Local festivals in Tàrrega
The Festa Major de Maig honours the Mare de Déu de l'Alba and the Santes Espines. It is usually celebrated around 14 May over several days, turning the town-centre squares and streets into spaces for popular culture, music, dancing, food and community life, organised by the Town Council with the participation of local groups and residents.

The municipal tourism portal highlights the Ball de l'Eixida, Nit del Tararot, Santes Espines procession, the gathering of gegants and capgrossos, Corre-Tossino, fire runs and street parades. The programme also includes concerts, theatre, sardana dancing, sport, children's events and Firacóc, devoted to the food tradition of cóc urgellenc.
Other cultural events
FiraTàrrega turns the town into a stage for street arts and performing arts each September. The cultural calendar is completed by the Teatre Ateneu season, Museu Tàrrega Urgell, Museu Trepat and local markets.
